- Born the product of a one night stand between musician Paige Haley and model Kiana Luft. He is the first child of both.
- Paige never ignored his first child and gladly provided for him if Kiana so needed it, but never really boasted or put it into the spotlight that Brighton was his son.
- He saw a fairly comfortable childhood, but never really took advantage of his money.
- The one day he did take advantage of that wealth was when he wanted his first guitar. His mother on the other hand wanted him to pick something other than a guitar and chose a violin for him. She purchased it and signed him up for formal lessons.
- Against his own wishes, he took the lessons and eventually grew to enjoy the art of violin. in turn, he eventually got his wish of a guitar and learned to play as skillfully as he learned to play violin.
- After battling with school and finally graduating quite brilliantly with honors, he got his diploma and took off from Hollywood to New York City. Between the ages of 18 to 22, he studied at Juilliard to further his education in classical music as well as modern. He grauated from there and with a few friends he had met, decided to form a band. The band lasted several years until there was a falling out and the band disbanded.
- Moved to West Chester on a whim. After an accident that he can't quite explain about a month ago, he instinctively just moved to West Chester without a reason or a rhyme. He currently resides in an large loft apartment on his own.
- Has a special gift that he never really spoke to anyone about. He can see important visions before they happen. He didn't tell anyone of these things. They weren't exactly important events to everyone, but to his life and people he's connected with's life.
- His interests outside of music consist of photography. He's loved that all of his life. He'll find beauty in morbidness and you can often find his goth-likeness in a cemetery or around gutted out places that may or may not be haunted. While many are afraid of spiders, he embraces them as creatures of the world and treats them like he'd treat everyone else.
- His legal name was changed to Slater Slaughter for musical purposes. It stood out and said something. People would remember it.
- He's a smoker and he does drink. He's more of a wine drinker but will settle for a traditional beer or hard liquor if the occasion calls for it.
- His mother had another child with a different man who turned out to be his half-brother Preston and his father has a daughter with another woman named London. He's met and grown up with Preston, but has yet to meet London. He barely knows she exists.
- Isn't a daytime dweller. He will go out in daylight once in a while but he's more of a nocturnal being. He enjoys the solitude of the night.
- He's a very, very passionate person. He's a lover to a very intense extent. His love and passion is shown in everything he does daily and he finds a reason for all of that love. To know him and/or be intimate with him is an experience all it's own.
